Hat-trick delight for duo

FOOTBALL:
IT was a tale of two hat-tricks for our local sides in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Chadderton's James Curley bagged a treble in his side's 5-2 win at Eccleshall, joining Joseph Jacombs and Matthew Chadwick on the scoresheet.
Tim Grice and Daniel Counter replied for the hosts.
And debutant Mark Coyne scored three times in Oldham Boro's 4-1 victory at Northwich Villa following Daniel Whiteside's opener. Gary Burnett got Villa's consolation.
Boro boss Tony Mills said: "Mark made a brilliant start for us with some well-taken goals.
"He was in the right place at the right time and it helped us to a brilliant victory.
"It was a good all-round team performance. The back four were solid and we were strong in midfield."
Mossley slipped to a 2-1 loss at Ossett Town in the Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Kevin Sanasy put the home team in front after four minutes, only for Scott Hogan to wrestle the Lilywhites back into the game just three minutes later with a well-taken leveller.
But Andrew Catton notched the winner for Town with a quarter-of-an-hour of the match remaining to condemn Mossley to defeat on the opening day of the campaign.
