Swallow with pride for dynamic Delph

BOWLS: DELPH Cricket ‘A’ lifted the Chadderton Bowling League’s Swallow Cup after beating Chadderton CBC in the final. Losing semi-finalists were Springbank ‘A’ and Friezland ‘A’.
PAUL Heap, who teamed up with Ben Stapleton to win the recent Thwaites men’s pairs at Norden, once again showed his liking for the green by beating Barclay Warrington (Milnrow) 21-20 to qualify for the finals of the Your Choice men’s singles.
THE bowling community is mourning the death at 68 of Tony Bonter.
A popular figure on the local scene, Tony most recently played for the Dog and Partridge, Woodhouses, in the Chadderton and Failsworth Leagues, and Hollinwood Cricket Club in the Saddleworth League.
