GOLF: PAM Taylor landed the last major of the season at Saddleworth when she returned 175-36-139 in the 36-hole Mr President’s Prize.
The first round took place on Monday, August 1, but bad weather prevented the completion of the second round until last Thursday.
Runner-up to Pam was Lady-Captain Brenda Gates, who shot 203-60-143.
Jane Wild (85-17-68) won the first-day prize on a card play-off against Kaye Orme and Janice Nicholson, while Sandra Hague (98-24-74) took second-day honours following countback against Lillian Howarth, Beryl Orme and Ann Walsh.
Oldham to stage medal play-off
AN 18-hole play-off will be needed to decide the winner of the Albert Warren Memorial Medal at Oldham.
Gary McDonald and Steve Rae will fight it out after both shot 64.
