Delph suffer title setback

CRICKET: DELPH lost top spot but remain in the Drakes Huddersfield Premiership title race following defeat to title rivals Honley and a win over Hoylandswaine.
After restricting Honley to 219 for five, Grant Jones' side ended on 179 for nine.
In the next game Hoylandswaine reached 271 for one, but Irfan Zahoor made 91 as Delph reached their target with seven balls left and five wickets to spare.
With three games remaining Delph sit in third position, trailing leaders Kirkburton by two points and Honley by one.
After making 178 for nine, Micklehurst lost to Cawthorne by six wickets in the Cedar Court Conference.
WOODHOUSES saw off Denton West at Medlock Road in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League Division One.
Josh Tolley's unbeaten 56 helped them reach 153 for two, and Mike Cassidy's men restricted the away outfit to 125 for nine, with Luke Swards claiming five for 58.
However, leaders Prestwich require just four points from the remaining three matches to beat Woodhouses to the title.
