Charity marathon

ROUNDERS:

TWO rounders teams are gearing up for 12 hours of non-stop action at Crompton Cricket Club to raise money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

Shaw Magpies and Crompton Ladies, who play in the Saddleworth and Rochdale leagues respectively, are joining forces for Saturday’s round-athon in memory of friend and former player Michelle Bamford.

The combined side will play different opposition every hour, starting at 8am and finishing at 8pm.

Spectators are welcome. There will be refreshments and a raffle.
