ROYTON can take out an insurance policy by beating Rochdale in the Lake Garage CLL on Sunday (12.45pm).
Alan Durose’s men moved into fifth place in the table with victory over Werneth last Sunday, and a defeat of Rochdale at The Paddock would see them move into fourth, above their rivals, and further cement their place in next season’s LCB Cup with one fixture remaining.
Werneth, Oldham and Crompton have little more to play for this season than pride, but victories in the final two matches would at least ensure the summer does not end on a sour note.
Werneth have a tricky home test against Milnrow on Sunday, Oldham are up against it away to champions Norden, and Crompton go to Monton and Weaste.
SUNDAY: Ashton v Littleborough; Clifton v Heywood; Monton and Weaste v Crompton; Norden v Oldham; Radcliffe v Middleton; Royton v Rochdale; Walsden v Unsworth; Werneth v Milnrow.
