LUKE Procter will play his last game as professional for Royton when the Paddock side entertain Rochdale in the Lake Garage CLL on Sunday.
Procter, whose blossoming career with Lancashire has restricted his appearances for Royton this year, has officially been released by the local CLL club, who thanked him for his efforts during the last six years.
Procter was an onlooker as Lancashire’s LV= County Championship title hopes were dented by a 10-wicket defeat against Worcestershire at New Road.
After dismissing the visitors for just 80, Worcestershire needed a mere five runs to send Lancashire crashing to their fourth defeat of the season.
