OLDHAM darts team did not like to be beside the seaside when they lost 7-2 to Southport in the GMC Lancashire Super Eights Elite League.

Wins from Ian Walters (4-3, at an average of 75.78 for every three darts thrown) and John Downs (4-2, 79.85) proved mere consolations for Oldham.

They have a chance to bounce back in the next game, which is at Burnley on Sunday, September 25.
