SNOOKER: SPRINGBANK ‘A’ are the early pacesetters in the Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
Helped by a 40 break from newcomer K Kanolty, they have taken nine points out of a possible 12.
Little Cot ‘A’, the reigning champions, have also made a promising start to the new campaign.
Meanwhile, Martin Merrington’s break of 30 in the final frame avoided a whitewash as his Stanley Road side went down 5-1 against Three C’s ‘B’.
North Chadd boast a 100-per-cent record in the cards league, and are a point clear of Blue Club ‘A’ and Three C’s ‘B’ snapping at their heels just one point behind.
