High-fives for Higgy

RUGBY:
HIGGINSHAW scored five tries as they saw off Hindpool 30-26 at Oldham Edge in the North-West Counties League Division Two.
After going behind early on to a converted effort, Higgy hit back when Gary Walsh crossed following good work from Paul Turner, and Jonny Fullalove added the extras.
Hindpool responded with two quick tries, one of which was converted, before Guy Harvey went over in the corner and Fullalove goaled.
And when Turner capitalised on an error to touch down, Fullalove did the honours again to give the hosts an 18-16 half-time lead.
Gareth Brindley gave Higgy the perfect start after the restart, crashing over by the posts, and Fullalove converted.
Chris Tomlin crossed and Fullalove successfully North-West Counties League kicked again, and despite two late Hindpool tries Higgy held on.
Division Three action saw Hollinwood surrender a 14-0 lead to eventually lose 16-14 at home to Wigan St Cuthberts ‘A’.
Gareth Bienias, Warren Taylor and Andy Gorey touched down for the hosts, with Gorey also converting.
Wigan pulled back a try just before the break and took control after the restart, eventually
overrunning the home outfit.
