NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY bagged their first victory of the Evo-Stik League Division One North season in style by seeing off Ossett Albion 6-2 at Seel Park.
Cameron Darkwah was fouled in the box and slotted home the resultant penalty after four minutes.
Failsworth lad Joe Heap made it 2–0 after 24 minutes, evading two tackles before coolly finding the net.
Dale Kelly responded immediately for the visitors with a curling finish, but with seven minutes of the first period remaining Darkwah restored the two–goal cushion, converting Heap’s delivery.
And Cavell Coo’s powerful drive handed the Lilywhites a 4-1 half-time lead.
After the restart Darkwah completed his hat-trick and Heap’s free-kick made it 6-1 before Marc Thompson’s late consolation.
CHADDERTON and Oldham Boro both advanced from the FA Vase first qualifying round.
Paul Buckley’s Chadderton side beat Alsager Town 3-1 courtesy of goals from James Curley (11), Matthew Chadwick (20) and Paul Stevenson (75), with Aaron Johns replying for the visitors on the stroke of half-time.
Redmond Parker scored the only goal of the game after an hour in Oldham Boro’s 1-0 victory over Daisy Hill.
