McDonald hit by heat Rae

GOLF:
STEVE Rae shot 73 to beat Gary McDonald (75) in a play-off for the Albert Warren Memorial Medal at Oldham.
Chris Bramhall and John Coleman won a card play-off against Ronnie and Ricky Cavanagh to win Oldham’s four-ball, better-ball Stableford.
Both pairs had scored 42 points, one ahead of third-placed Paul Donlan and Dave Kendrick.
Countback was also needed to decide the H Dunkerley competition, Barry Robinson (64) beating Ray Fry, with Sean Dixon (65) in third.
