Wrap up warm for new season

BOWLS: A NEW Inbev Winter Bowling League season gets under way on the Chadderton Cot artificial surface this weekend.

The ‘A’ Division match between Hopwood and Nimble Nook starts proceedings at 9.45am tomorrow.



LATEST qualifiers for the Delph Open finals are D Shaw (Peels Arms), A Hodson and M Hodson (Springbank), N Brooks (Syke), S P Heap, L Schofield, D Farrell and A Dearden (Friezland), and G McMahon (Netherton Cons).



MATT O’Neill and Dave O’Brien (Springbank) won the Chadderton League pairs title when they defeated Colin Price and Chris Haynes (Grapes) 15-14 in the final.



FAILSWORTH League delegates meeting will be held next Tuesday (8pm) at Stanley Road Conservative Club where the main items on the agenda are return of trophies, payment of accounts and collection of presentation night tickets.
