RUGBY: MARK Brocklehurst, Oldham Roughyeds’ leading try-scorer in the 2011 Championship One campaign, switches codes tomorrow.
The 24-year-old winger makes his first appearance of the season for Oldham RU in their clash against Windermere at Manor Park (3pm).
Brocklehurst, who this week signed a deal to remain with the Roughyeds until the end of the 2012 campaign, lines up alongside new-boy Michael Crouch.
Coach Guy Lovegreen is hoping experienced back-row forward Crouch, who previously played for Preston and Wigan, will help reduce the penalty count against Oldham.
Fellow back row John Suitor and prop Dean McEwan miss the North Lancashire Division One fixture because of injury, while Jamie Edwards (prop) and Kris Jones (back row) are unavailable.
Hooker Jack Hawkins, prop Paul Wardle, second row Gary Phelan are added to the squad for the first time this season.
