Coppice clinch victory

FOOTBALL: COPPICE ‘A’ earned a 2-0 home win over FC Royton in the D & J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League Jack Abbott Premier Division.

S Barrow and S Rashid got the goals.

Chaddy End beat Fitton Hill 5-1 through a Keegan hat-trick and a brace from Harrop.

N Eastmond struck three times and Barker also netted as Rifle Range ‘A’ defeated Oddies 4-2.

Rifle Blues saw off High Crompton 4-2 (see John Gilder’s Match of the Day).



SANTOS bowed out of the Lancashire and Cheshire League Cup at the first-round stage following a 6-3 home loss at the hands of Adelphi.

AFC Oldham enjoyed a 5-0 win against Hazel Grove in the Premier Division.
