NETBALL: NORTHERN Thunder are running trials at their Wright Robinson Sports College HQ next month.
The Fiat Superleague outfit hold the sessions on Thursday, October 20 from 7pm to 10pm.
Trials are open to players who have experienced international, Superleague, Premier or County netball.
Wright Robinson Sports College has undergone an upgrade, turning it into a High Performance Centre for Netball.
More than £150,000 has been spent on a new sprung wooden floor, seating and storage.
Players will now have access to a fitness centre, swimming pool, and a performance analysis suite to assist with their strength and conditioning programmes.
Coach Suzy Chapman said: “We are really excited for the forthcoming season.
“Based on last year’s ups and downs we have grown stronger and more determined together.
“We suffered some upsetting injuries last year, but those players have been working really hard on their recovery and are determined to continue their progressions made for this season.
“Looking ahead to the season we will be working really hard as a squad, which will be starting soon with a new coaching regime and a new outlook to the season.
“It will be exciting to see some new players wanting to play for Northern Thunder this year who will be at the trials, so watch this space. I hope our fans will be ready because we certainly will be.”
