Darkwah sets Mossley on path to victory

NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY recorded their third successive victory in Evo-Stik League Division One North by edging out Salford City 2-1 at Seel Park.
In-form Cameron Darkwah broke the deadlock after eight minutes, and it was soon followed by a Danny Queeley goal.
Mossley old boy Adam Morning replied for City after 33 minutes, but the Lilywhites claimed all three points to continue their revival following a shaky start to the campaign.
OLDHAM Boro earned a creditable point in a 1-1 draw at home to leaders Norton United in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Dan Brown put the visitors in front with just six minutes on the clock.
But Jerome Bryson levelled matters after 20 minutes, and Boro stood firm to take a point from United, who are the only team in the division yet to lose a match.
Meanwhile, Boro’s home game with Wigan Robin Park in the FA Vase second qualifying round has been brought forward to this Friday (7.45pm kick-off).
CHADDERTON suffered a 2-1 defeat at Irlam in NWCL Division One.
Paul Lynch opened the scoring for Irlam after half-an-hour, and Liam Sweeney handed them a two-goal cushion after 74 minutes.
Matthew Chadwick halved the deficit 10 minutes later, but Paul Buckley’s side could not force an equaliser.
