High-fives for Academy

SNOOKER: OLDHAM Snooker Academy ‘B’, the reigning champions, defeated Crucible ‘B’ 5-2 in Group One of the Manchester Snooker League.
Tanveer Hussain, M Ehsan and Abu Miah were the club’s frame-winners.
Academy ‘C’, thanks to victories from Aki Hussain, Naveed Mohammed, 17-year-old Omar Ahmed and Adi Hussain, brushed aside fancied Belle Vue 6-1 and top the table.
In Group Two, the ‘D’ team were beaten 5-2 by Crucible ‘A’ after losing the deciding frame and the aggregate.
