TABLE TENNIS: STEVE Hilton continued his fine form for Hyde YM ‘B’ in Division Two of the Oldham Table Tennis League.
Unbeaten in his side’s 6-4 victory over Coldhurst ‘A’, he produced a four-set win against Derek Watmough.
Maximums from Mick Pellowe and Paul Wilkinson helped Werneth ‘C’ to a 9-1 success against Droylsden, for whom Tim Greenald notched their only win.
In Division One, three hard-fought wins by Phil Ashworth, backed by two similar efforts by Simon Collins, gave Rosehill a 7-3 victory against Hollinwood ‘B’.
Glodwick ‘B’ have enjoyed a good start to the season with wins in their first two mathes.
The most recent was a 6-4 defeat of Honeywell ‘A’ in which Kristof Pinter was unbeaten once again.
Phil Myers was the main contributor for Honeywell, winning against Andrew Tarpey and Khamal Hussain.
