Cot hit the heights after whitewash

SNOOKER: LITTLE Cot ‘A’ are going great guns in pursuit of back-to-back Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League titles.
The reigning champions reached the summit after a 6-0 whitewash of Three C’s ‘A’.
D Balcerzak got the visitors off to the perfect start — he recorded a break of 34 to claim the opening frame — before wins for S Mak, D Newton, R Blacerzak and M Kennedy completed the rout.
Alan Hopkinson Jnr was the star of the show, registering a break of 32 for Royton Band in the 3-3 draw against High Crompton.
MOSS Inn, the reigning champions, opened their account in the Saw-Tech Shaw League with a 6-0 win over Cartshaft.
Despite losing the opening frame against Royton Cons ‘A’, Tara Leisure fought back to record an impressive 5-1 victory.
