Angels delight for Ashleigh

FOOTBALL: HEYSIDE Angels Argen under-14s edged out Heyside Angels Inter 2-1 in the North Manchester Girls’ League.
Ashleigh Wylie got both goals for Argen, with Mia Holden responding for Inter.
The under-13s saw off Uppermill 5-0, with Izzy Whittle and Emily Pennells getting two goals apiece and Antonia Keogh also netting.
DANE Mansfield struck twice and Michael Pass scored in Heyside under-16s’ 3-0 victory over FC United of Tameside in the Tameside and District Junior League.
FAILSWORTH Sports College are through to the second round of the ESFA under-15s Schools Cup thanks to a 9-0 victory over Newall Green (Manchester).
Jack Holmes scored a hat-trick, Callum Taylor netted twice, and there were further goals from Olafemi Ogunnuga, Charlie Fuller, Matthew Wilson and Wesley Hindley.
North Chadderton beat St Thomas More 3-2. Louis Gilligan pounced twice and Zach Gemmell got in on the act.
Radclyffe School saw off Accrington Academy 6-0.
Crompton House exited the competition — they lost 2-0 to Wellacre Technology Academy — and Hulme Grammar are out following a 2-0 reverse against Wilmslow High.
Blessed John Henry Newman RC College were defeated 3-1 by Loreto High.
