GOLF: A BUMPER haul of silverware was up for grabs at Oldham’s knock-out finals day.
The Firth Trophy saw husband and wife Anne and Steve Smith beat men’s captain Martin Lewis and Jane Antrobus three and two.
The Fawcett Trophy went to Sam Gilbey, who defeated Dave Audley eight and six.
Sean Dixon and Damian Chadwick combined to win the HB Swailes four-ball betterball final with a four and two win over Pete Sparks, and Gary Williams.
In the Daily Mail foursomes, victory was secured by Jim Wilson and Harold McGuinness (three and two) over Chris Bramhall and Dave Finn.
Also at Odham, Brian Howarth and A Lister, with 41 points, won the closing invitation four-ball betterball Stableford competition at Oldham.
The runners-up, with 39 points, were Lee Blainey and Norman Radcliffe junior, while Norman Radcliffe senior and Gordon Howard claimed third place (38pts).
