Terris double topples King

FOOTBALL:
MARK Terris bagged a brace as FC Radclyffe edged out Famous King George 2-1 in the D & J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League President’s Trophy second round.
Clarke replied for Famous King George in the all-David Giblin Division One tie.
Jack Abbott Premier Division action saw leaders Coppice United ‘A’ race to a 4-2 win at Oddies.
Steve Barrow pounced twice for the visitors, with Sheheryar Rashid and Muzafar Ali also getting in on the act.
Leon Perry was at the double for Oddies but it was not enough to prevent defeat.
Chaddy End recorded their second win of the campaign, getting the better of strugglers FC Royton 2-1.
Kyle Harrop and Ryan Baldwin netted for Chaddy, with Wayne Dean notching a consolation goal for the home outfit.
Limeside King George routed Red Star 6-0.
DIGGLE hit back to claim a 2-2 draw with Britannia Sports in the Huddersfield and District League Division One.
The home team went ahead early on with a close range finish, and the same player doubled the advantage when he ghosted into the penalty area.
Ashley Simpson halved the deficit on the hour with a well-taken penalty, after Matt Taylor had been tripped in the box.
And with 10 minutes remaining it was all-square. Paul Swallow drifted into the danger zone and nodded the ball into the net.
UPPERMILL came from behind to earn a 3-3 home draw with Netherton in Division One.
The away side took the lead after 18 minutes. Uppermill cleared a corner but only as far as the right-back, whose show flew into the net.
Simon Tait’s men fell further behind after an hour.
Uppermill earned a lifeline with 20 minutes remaining when Fitzpatrick was felled in the area and he converted the penalty.
But just one minute later Netherton netted from a free-kick to make it 3-1.
But Jacobs struck twice in two minutes to rescue a point.
Reserves Division One action saw Diggle suffer a 6-3 home reverse at the hands of Shepley.
Losing 3-0 at the break, the hosts levelled matters only to concede three late goals.
In Reserves Division Two, Diggle ‘A’ were held to a 3-3 home draw by Wooldale Wanderers.
