Rangers look for victory

RUGBY:
SADDLEWORTH Rangers can lift themselves off bottom spot in Group ‘C’ of the National Conference League tomorrow.
The Greenfield outfit are at home to Rochdale Mayfield, the team directly above them and on identical points.
An impressive 38-0 defeat of Elland six days ago — only their second victory of the NCL interim campaign — will have put Rangers in good spirits.
Waterhead are riding the crest of a wave, and will look to make it seven wins out of nine in their pursuit of leaders Widnes West Bank.
And they should be too good for tomorrow’s visitors to Peach Road, Eccles, who are next-to-bottom of Group ‘E’.
Oldham St Anne’s are hot on the heels of Waterhead in third place. After suffering a narrow defeat by Widnes West Bank, Chris Deakin’s side will look to bounce back at home to basement boys Crosfields.
