Norbury bags medal win

GOLF:

DAVID Norbury emerged victorious in the Final Day medal, a major competition at Crompton and Royton in memory of former member and Oldham RU player Stuart Woodhead.

He recorded a round of 71-4-67, finishing ahead Steven Taylor 72-4-68, who claimed runners-up spot after a card play-off from Tony Sutherland (80-12-68).


MARY Buckley won EWGA medal 17 at Oldham after a round of 79-13-66, with Liz Johnson (80-12-68) in second place.
