FOOTBALL: LEE Deakin is winning his race to be fit for Oldham Boro’s FA Vase first round clash at home to Padiham tomorrow.
The midfielder has recovered quicker than expected from an ankle knock and is likely to start for the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One outfit.
Boro boss Tony Mills said: “Padiham represent a difficult test because they are in the division above us and playing quite well, so we will have to be at our best.
“Lee should be fit to play which is a boost to our chances. We know how tough it is going to be but our home form is good and we will give it a good go.”
MOSSLEY travel to Lancaster City in the Evo-Stik League Division One North and are likely to hand a second debut to goalkeeper Peter Collinge.
The stopper has re-signed for the Lilywhites following a brief spell with Curzon Ashton.
In his first spell at Seel Park, Collinge made 106 appearances in two seasons after joining from Chorley in 2009.
Cameron Darkwah returns to the squad after being cup-tied for the midweek 2-1 win over FC United of Manchester in the Manchester Premier Cup.
CHADDERTON do not play this weekend.
