Woodhouses face stern test

CRICKET:
WOODHOUSES face a trip to Saddleworth and District Cricket League outfit Bamford Fieldhouse in round one of next season’s LCB Cup.
Mike Cassidy’s Village Cup final heroes, of the Lancashire County League, go to Hollin Lane on a date to be announced. Of the other Saddleworth League teams, champions Uppermill visit Garstang (Palace Shield), Heyside host Castletown, who hail from the Isle of Man, Saddleworth are at home to Elton (Bolton Association) and Shaw are away to Old Xaverians (Liverpool Competition).
In the Inter-League Trophy, the Saddleworth League are away to the Lancashire County League. Date to be fixed.
