Lane toasts a double

GOLF:
ALAN Lane bagged a double at Blackley. He won the Fred Cheetham Trophy from Darren Roberts and a four-ball better-ball Stableford competition alongside Julian Robinson. The pair recorded 45 points.
John Parr and Alex Hughes bagged runners-up spot (42pts), with Mike Thomas and John Riley (41pts) in third. Mark Walton lifted the Whitemoss Trophy, while Anniversary Cup honours went to Louis Saxon and Andy Campbell.
