OLDHAM Boro surrendered a 2-0 lead at Irlam to eventually lose 4-2 in North-West Counties League Division One.
Two goals in two minutes from Mark Coyne (12) and Jerome Bryson (14) gave Tony Mills’ side a flying start.
But Danny Butters pulled back a goal just after the restart and Chris Hilton equalised with an hour gone.
Adam Pegg was on the mark five minutes later and Gary Prescott’s goal six minutes from time sealed the win for the hosts.
Boro manager Mills said: “It was the most disgraceful performance I have witnessed.
“We were awesome in the first half and so comfortable. I spoke to the lads at the break about not being complacent — but frankly they never came out of the dressing room.
“In the second half our defending was poor, the concentration levels dropped and we threw it away.
“I cannot fathom how we can go from doing so well to playing so poorly.
“After the match I told the players in no uncertain terms that it was not good enough.’
CHADDERTON were denied a win at the death by lowly Nelson, whose equaliser earned a 1-1 draw in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Sean Sherwood’s 33rd minute strike put the hosts in front.
But, just when Paul Buckley’s men looked to have held off the challenge of the basement boys, Brett Ferguson pounced in the last minute of normal time to earn a share of the spoils.
MOSSLEY had no game in Evo-Stik Division One North.
