In-form Darren dazzles again

TABLE TENNIS: SADDLEWORTH ‘A’ made it eight wins from as many games in Division One of the Oldham Table Tennis League with a 6-4 verdict over Hollinwood ‘A’.
Darren Lindley was the difference between the teams and remains unbeaten this season.
A treble from Stuart Meredith saw Werneth ‘A’ beat Glodwick ‘B’ 6-4.
Uppermill ‘A’ are the surprise package in a tough Division Two and remain unbeaten following a 9-1 victory over Hyde YMCA ‘B’.
Dave Grundy and Keith Moores were both unbeaten on the night.
In Division Three, Gary Crossley and Alex Griffiths recorded maximums for Saddleworth ‘B’, who overcame Grotton ‘B’ 9-1.
Honeywell ‘G’ and Hollinwood ‘F’ shared the spoils in Division Four, George Marrow landing a treble for the visitors.
And in Division Five, St Saviours extended their lead to an incredible 14 points with yet another 10-0 win.
The latest came against Our Lady’s ‘B’. Brothers Alex and Jacob Reilly recorded trebles, as did Mark Dalton.
