Coyne scoops league award

OLDHAM Boro hot-shot Mark Coyne has been named Vodkat North-West Counties League player of the month for October.
The striker has bagged 12 goals in as many appearances, including an October haul of six in five.
He has played a major role in guiding his club to 10th position in the table, just two points off a top-six place.
Coyne said: “I am delighted with the award. In the past I have picked up the odd club honour here and there, but never something that relates to the whole division.
“We have got a good group of lads here who all work hard for each other and we are keen to push ourselves further up the table.”
Coyne also thanked Boro manager Tony Mills for inspiring his fine run of form.
He added: “Tony is a nice guy who gets the best out of players. I like playing for Tony and our new coach, Tim Buxton, who has fitted in well.”
Boro entertain Rochdale Town tomorrow in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
CHADDERTON head to AFC Darwen in NWCL Division One.
Paul Buckley’s eighth-placed outfit will be confident of beating a team who have picked up just four wins in 13 outings and who sit in 14th position.
