FOOTBALL:
OLDHAM Boro exited the Manchester Premier Cup at the first round stage after a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Salford City.
Jack Redshaw scored a hat-trick for the visitors. He broke the deadlock after four minutes and struck again three minutes into the second half. His third goal arrived with an hour on the clock, before Will Buckley notched a consolation for Boro in the dying seconds.
