Boxing show attracts star performers

BOXING: COMMONWEALTH welterweight champion Denton Vassell of Manchester, who successfully defended his title at Oldham Sports Centre last Saturday, will return to the town on Saturday week.

Vassell, former WBC super-middleweight champion Robin Reid and current British lightweight champion Antony Crolla will be guests at the Oldham Boxing and Personal Development Centre’s amateur show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Oldham v The Rest 2 will see many of Oldham’s finest taking on all-comers. The evening will help raise money for the OBPDC move to Victoria House. Doors open at 7pm and the first bout start at 8.30pm.
