RUGBY:

BUDDING rugby league stars of the future will be on show at Oldham St Anne’s on Saturday.

The Higginshaw Road outfit plays host to three North-West Counties Youth League Premier Division finals.

The action gets under way at 10.45am when the under-16s of Bold Miners, from St Helens, take on Wigan St Patricks. At 12.15pm local pride is at stake as Wigan rivals Ince Rose Bridge lock horns with Orrell St James for the under-17s crown.

The final game of the day kicks-off at 2pm, with under-18s league champions Folly Lane (Swinton) facing runners-up Blackbrook Royals (St Helens) in what is expected to be a cracking encounter.
