NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:

STRIKER James Curley has rejoined Oldham Boro from rivals Chadderton and will make his second debut for the club in tomorrow’s home clash with Northwich Villa in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.

The 28-year-old left Boro two years ago and proved a big hit at Paul Buckley’s Chadderton, where he finished top of the goal-scoring charts last term with 23 to his name.

Boro boss Tony Mills said: “We are delighted to welcome James back home. He is a tremendous addition to the squad. We have so many young players and the experience he can pass on to them is invaluable.

“He has scored for fun at this level so hopefully the trend continues.”

Curley will start the game, but Mills has to do without Ben Morris and Danny Whiteside due to work commitments, and Rick Winstanley, who is hampered by a twisted ankle. Villa are 14th in the table, three places and one point behind Boro.

NINTH-placed Chadderton host Holker Old Boys, who sit in seventh position in NWCL Division One.

MOSSLEY head to Prescot Cables in Evo-Stik League Division One North. Manager Gareth McClelland is set to hand a debut to 6ft 7in striker Tom Denton (22), once of Huddersfield Town, who has joined the Lilywhites from Wakefield FC. Midfielder Peter Band is suspended.

Mossley are 14th in the table, and are three places and four points better off than tomorrow’s opponents.
