FOOTBALL:
RAIN hit the D & J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League schedule, with numerous matches postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
No action was possible in the Jack Abbott Premier Division, but there was something of a goal glut in the David Giblin Division One games that survived the conditions.
Failsworth Athletic swept aside Oldham GPO 6-3 thanks in no small part to four goals from N Sultan.
Paul Naylor, Matty Flint and Cameron Azhashemi netted for Anglers in their 3-3 draw with Legends, for whom Gareth Morris, Jason Glasgow and Leyton Stephenson were on target.
Highfield United enjoyed a 4-1 triumph over Puckersley, who were playing their last match before resigning.
