Titterington bags treble

FOOTBALL:

HEYSIDE continued their fine run of form in a 5-1 triumph at Westend in the Huddersfield and District League Division Two.

On the mark were Jason Titterington with a hat-trick, Danny Cashin and Kane Lees. Heyside have now gone four matches without defeat.

Reserves Division Two action saw Heyside twice squander their lead to draw 2-2 with Heywood Irish Centre. Chris Taylor and Luke Hancock were on target for Heyside.

Uppermill’s Division One trip to Lepton Highlanders and Diggle’s home clash with Hepworth United were both postponed due to waterlogged pitches.



AFC OLDHAM beat Old Stretfordians 1-0 in the Lancashire and Cheshire League Premier Division.

In Division One, Santos suffered a miserable day at the office following an 8-0 thrashing at the hands of their hosts, Irlam Steel.



FAILSWORTH Dynamos earned the bragging rights with a 3-2 win at neighbours Chaddertonians in the Lancashire Amateur League Premier Division.
