NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:

MOSSLEY wing-back Tom Ingham has been selected for the full England Schoolboys squad after a successful final trial at Lilleshall.

The 18-year-old impressed coaches enough to clinch a place in the 20-player squad to face Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland in the Centenary Shield in March.

Mossley youth coach Rob Byrne said: “Tom thoroughly deserves the recognition he is receiving at international level.

“He is over the moon, but will take it in his stride and focus on his club football.”

That sentiment applies to tomorrow, when the Lilywhites entertain Clitheroe in Evo-Stik League Division One North.

Ingham is set to make his 19th start of the season for Gareth McClelland’s team.

Rick Winstanley (ankle) is ruled out, but boss Tony Mills is set to welcome back Ben Morris and Danny Whiteside, who missed the 2-2 draw with Northwich Villa due to work commitments.
