BOWLS:
WATERLOO and Taunton and Springbank traded blows in the ‘A’ Division of the Inbev Winter Bowling League at Chadderton Cot.
Waterloo defeated Hopwood 9-2 and Springbank matched that with the same verdict against Chadderton Cot.
In the other ‘A’ Division match, Nimble Nook edged home by just four chalks against Springhead to secure a 7-4 verdict.
New Street’s march to the ‘B’ Division title went unchecked when they defeated Wanderers 10-1, C Wroe winning the only game for the latter. Elsewhere, there were wins for Dogwood and Prestwich.
