Glorious double for Glodwick
Date published: 13 December 2011
TABLE TENNIS:
THE Glodwick club was to the fore in Division One of the Oldham and District Table Tennis League.
An excellent team performance saw the ‘B’ team prevail 9-1 against Honeywell ‘A’.
But it was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests, with seven of the five-set matches going the way of Glodwick.
Kristof Printer and Zillur Rahman registered trebles, while Andrew Tarpey bagged a double.
Glodwick ‘A’ dispatched Honeywell ‘B’ 9-1 to remain top of the table. Maximums from Mark Ramsbottom and Khamal Hussain, plus a double from Jeff Craighill, did the damage.
