Double blow for Oldham
Date published: 14 December 2011
HOCKEY: OLDHAM Women’s Hockey Club ended 2011 with a bitter taste in their mouths following heavy defeats for both the first and second teams against opposition at the top of their respective leagues.
The firsts had an opening half to forget against Didsbury Greys in the North Women’s Division Two as they conceded five goals.
Oldham restored some pride after the break, managing to shut out their opponents, but the damage had already been done.
The defeat leaves Oldham 11th in the table, one place off the bottom.
