FOOTBALL:
HOLLINWOOD made it three successive victories with a 7-1 defeat of Salford Victoria in the Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League Division One.
Reuben Abreu bagged a hat-trick, Matt Simpson scored a brace and Lindon Wastt and Jamie Saberi did the rest of the damage.
Hollinwood boss Fred Hardicre said: “We are playing well. I am trying to get a settled team, which isn’t easy due to people’s work commitments.”
Bad weather conditions put paid to any other local action in the league.
