Cot back on top after Band blitz

SNOOKER:
A WHITEWASH of Royton Band returned Little Cot ‘A’ to the top of the Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
And breaks of 50 from D Reece and 35 from M J Smith helped Deaf ‘B’ to a 6-0 victory over Chadderton Reform. Three Cs ‘B’ have temporary bragging rights over their ‘A’ team following their 5-1 victory in the latest fixture between the two teams.
SAW-TECH Shaw Snooker League leaders Tara Leisure had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Royton Cons ‘B’ for whom R Tobin had a superb break of 79 – the highest of the season.
Comrades ‘B’ are in second spot after a great win in their outstanding match again Cartshaft, which they won 5-1. But they share that position with Moss Inn, who beat Crompton Cons 4-2 and have a game in hand.
