Fleet-of-foot Isaac joins Warriors cause
Date published: 22 December 2011
YOUNG rugby league talent Isaac Noi is hoping to give his rivals the run-around.
The 15-year-old loose forward has put pen to paper on scholarship forms at Wigan Warriors and is gearing up for his first competitive action in February.
A pupil at Hume Grammar School, Isaac (pictured) is also a member of Sale Harriers and excels at the 100 metres. The teenager has picked up plenty of experience in both codes of the game despite his relatively tender years.
A product of Oldham St Anne’s, he has represented Oldham at town team and Service Area level and played for rugby union outfit Sale Sharks. But Isaac sees his future in rugby league.
As well as training with amateur club Rochdale Mayfield, he spends three nights a week alongside other young Super League hopefuls at Wigan.
Isaac — son of former Olympic boxer Eric, a director of the Oldham Boxing and Personal Development Centre — also plays basketball and practices jiu jitsu.
