NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: TWO new arrivals at Mossley are set to make their debuts tomorrow when they entertain fourth-placed Farsley in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Midfielder Adam Jones and centre-half James Stansfield, former Wakefield team-mates, were snapped up by boss Gareth McClelland.
The hosts occupy 15th position in the table and are looking to build on the impressive 3-3 draw at leaders Curzon Ashton.
But one man who definitely won’t be involved is towering defender Steve Halford, who has been released by the club as part of a cost-cutting measure.
McClelland said: “I am disappointed to have to release Steve Halford. This is solely due to financial reasons. Steve has been superb since joining us at the start of the season. He has given 100-per-cent in games and training.
“He has been a pleasure to work with.”
OLDHAM Boro host AFC Darwen tomorrow in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
CHADDERTON, eighth in the NWCL Division One table, go to 16th-placed Ashton Town.
