DANNY Balcerzak topped the high-break list again with a run of 36 as Little Cot ‘A’ beat Deaf ‘A’ 5-1 to establish a nine-point lead at the top of the Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
Despite a break of 25 from Pete Kamanski, he was unable to win his frame against Alan Mellor as his Oldham Rugby side succumbed 5-1 at home to Three Cs ‘A’.
YORKSHIRE Ward 1 have moved level on points with the same club’s No. 2 team in the Saddleworth Snooker League after thumping Austerlands 5-1.
And in the Mossley derby, the No. 2 team won 4-2 as N Bennison and C Kinder maintained their fine form.
TARA Leisure just shaded a brilliant match against Moss Inn as the top two teams in the Saw-Tech Shaw Snooker League battled for supremacy.
Leaders Tara had home advantage against their second-placed rivals and, in a fixture which swung one way then the other, clinched the aggregate by eight points for a 4-2 success. Both Comrades maintained their challenge with 5-1 victories.
