FOOTBALL; STEVE Barrow’s fine hat-trick set Coppice United ‘A’ on their way to a
7-0 win at Royton FC in the D & J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League Jack Abbott Premier Division.
Shabbir Ali pounced twice for the visitors, while Yasir Ali and M Ali also got in on the act.
Coppice are three points clear at the top of the table, with nine wins and just one defeat to their name.
Fitton Hill swept aside Rifle Range 13-2, while Red Star went down to a 5-1 home reverse at the hands of Limeside King George.
County Cup action saw Chaddy End beat Charlestown FC 3-1.
Meanwhile, the league has confirmed that Royton FC, Oldham Tigers and Kenyon Arms have been deducted three points and fined £25 apiece for failing to submit a teamsheet.
And Parkside have been docked one point for fielding ineligible player Lee Proctor in the 5-5 draw with Blue Club on December 11 last year.
Blue Club have been awarded two points.
UPPERMILL enjoyed a 2-1 win at a soggy Lepton Highlanders in the Huddersfield and District League Division One.

Uppermill looked to build on the lead but their opponents soon restored parity.

SPRINGHEAD made it back-to-back wins after a 3-1 home victory over AFC Bury in the Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League Premier Division.
In the first minute of the game Paul Stevenson rounded the goalkeeper and was brought down, before converting the resultant spot-kick himself.
The hosts dominated proceedings and doubled their advantage with 20 minutes on the clock, Josh Walker prodding home from close range.
And 10 minutes before the interval Mark Ashworth opened his account for the club after nodding home Dale Jackman’s wicked cross.
The away outfit improved after the break and hit the target after an hour.

Hollinwood’s trip to Fives Athletic in Division One also succumbed to the weather.
In the Open Trophy, Avro reserves saw off Pennington reserves 3-0, while Royton Town reserves lost 2-0 at Wythenshawe Town reserves.
