NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: CENTRE-HALF Steven Shields is set to make his Oldham Boro debut tomorrow at home to basement boys Leek CSOB in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.

The towering defender has taken almost a month to reach full fitness and boss Tony Mills is ready to hand him a start.

However, midfielder Nick Murphy misses out with knee ligament damage, while full-back Lee Deakin has other commitments.

Mills, whose side occupy 11th position, said: “We have been frustrated by match postponements lately so we are desperate to play tomorrow.

“Hopefully we have a bit of luck with the weather and the state of the playing surface so we can get a game on.”

IN-FORM Chadderton, currently sixth in the table, entertain AFC Darwen in NWCL Division One.
Paul Buckley’s side will be confident of gaining a positive result, with their opponents languishing near the wrong end of the table in 15th spot.

Three points could see Chadderton climb to fifth place if neighbours Rochdale Town slip up.

MOSSLEY welcome Ossett Town to Seel Park tomorrow in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Steve Halford’s side, 17th in the standings, will be looking for three points against the side currently sitting 20th.

Midfielder Mark Haslam is likely to start after signing from Curzon Ashton.
