Date published: 01 February 2012
SNOOKER: HIGH Crompton took advantage of Moss Inn’s open date by registering a 5-1 home victory over Three Cs ‘B’ to move into second place in the Pet Au Purrs Oldham Amateur Snooker League.
But an identical 5-1 victory for Little Cot ‘A’ over Blue Club ‘A’ means they have a commanding
12-point lead at the top of the table.
With Little Cot ‘A’ sharing the spoils 2-2 on the cards table, their ‘B’ team’s 4-0 victory over Blue Club ‘B’ has allowed them to make up ground.
They are now only five points behind in second place, with Nimble Nook a single point adrift in third.
SAW-TECH Shaw Snooker League leaders Tara Leisure were beaten 4-2 by Comrades ‘A’, who have moved into joint third place.
And Moss Inn, who were in second spot, lost 5-1 at home to Royton Cons ‘B’ and are now alongside Comrades ‘A’
