RUGBY UNION: OLDHAM firsts must do without Luke Roscoe for up to three weeks, starting with tomorrow’s home game against Birchfield in North Lancashire Division One.
The back-row forward suffered a neck and back injury 11 minutes into the clash at Tarleton last Saturday. He was airlifted to hospital, but was later released after x-rays showed deep tissue damage.
On the plus side, Jon Farrell is back from injury, while new signing Sean Garrett is also in the squad.
Phil Conroy, who is unable to travel with the club’s second team to Penrith, is on the replacements’ bench.
Birchfield won the reverse fixture 29-18, but Guy Lovegreen’s side are gunning for a third straight win.
